NoiseMoon is a noise generator. Everything happens on your device.

What stays on your device

The sound is synthesised in your browser. We do not stream audio from a server, and no server holds your sessions, sound choices, sliders, or sleep timers. Your settings live in localStorage on the device that made them.

Microphone

If you tap Calibrate, the app listens to your room for ten seconds to tune the noise to it. The recording is processed on-device and discarded immediately. Nothing is uploaded.

Analytics

The instrument pages (the pages that play sound) use three cookie-less mechanisms: Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page-visit counts, Vercel Speed Insights for performance metrics, and a small first-party beacon that counts daily unique visitors. None of them identify you. The beacon stores only a one-way hash of your IP address, user agent, and the current UTC date — used solely for daily deduplication — and that hash auto-expires within 30 hours. The raw IP address and user agent are never stored. Other pages (blog, press, this page) carry none of these mechanisms.

What we don't do

No accounts, no ads, no behavioral profiling, no third-party data sharing.
